Audu Maikori

Audu Maikori is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, entertainment lawyer and creative industry consultant expert. He is Founder/ Executive Vice Chairman of Chocolate City Group- a media /entertainment company which is comprised of Chocolate City Media (Film, TV and content production) , Chocolate City Kenya, CCX (live Music space) and Chocolate City Music record label -one of the biggest record labels in Africa. In March 2019, Chocolate City inked a landmark partnership deal with Warner Music Group. Audu is globally recognized as one of the pioneers of the Afrobeats music genre that has taken the world by storm – his work has included Copyright reforms having led the Digital Music Committee for the Copyrights Society of Nigeria, leading the Senate Committee Ease of doing business working group in 2016/2017 as well as the Nigerian Economic Summit Group Creative industry group with a focus on Tv/Film and Movie policy. In August 2020, he chaired the inaugural Music Week Nigeria business conference that attracted over 700,000 unique views and over 2,000 virtual attendees.
Franklin David is the Founder of Twizz Management LLC a bespoke talent management agency based in New York. With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Franklin cut his teeth in the entertainment industry managing the careers of superstars like DJ Clue, Fabolous and managing projects for Mariah Carey. He has also worked in the sports industry with NFL stars including Dwight Freeney, Pierre Garcon, Amobi Okoye, NBA stars such as Carmelo Anthony, Baron Davis, Joakim Noah and Pascal Sikkim. He was recently appointed Director of Talent and Content for UG Media LLC a company based in New York where he handles the TV content departments and in that role clients like Tidal, Rocnation and Meda Productions. David was born in NY – grew up in the West Indies Trinidad till he was 15 when he moved to the states with his family. Popularly known as Mr “Connect the dots”, Franklin has brokered some of the most audacious partnerships in entertainment by birding the gap between Film, TV and Music.

Ojoma Ochai
Board Member
Ojoma Ochai is a Creative Economy expert with almost 20 years of experience supporting the development of the global Creative Economy through contributions to various initiatives including Capacity Building, Technical Assistance to the public and private sector and leading international cooperation projects in the Cultural and Creative Industries. Ms. Ochai sits on the UNESCO Global Expert Facility for the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. In this capacity, she advises the multilateral agency and has supported national governments (e.g., The Gambia, Jamaica and Nigeria) to implement the convention and grow their Cultural and Creative Industries. Joma Ochai is also Regional Director for Arts and Creative Economy Programmes for British Council in Sub Saharan Africa. She has worked on various international creative and digital sector development efforts for example for the World Bank on Music and Film Sector Development in Nigeria and with the Swedish Arts Council. She is a Fellow of the DEVOS Institute of Arts Management, University of Maryland, USA an Associate Fellow of the Nigerian Leadership Institute and sits on the board of the African Technology and Creative Group

Oronde Garrett is a partner at M88 management and a long-time business partner and manager to Idris Elba. In addition to Elba, he brings with him a unique roster of marquee talent including Hollywood’s record-breaking producer and black-ish star Marsai Martin, media staple Van Lathan, writer-filmmaker Chad Sanders, and young tech genius Iddris Sandu.
Prior to joining M88, Garrett built a 20-year career as a preeminent talent manager, film/television consultant, and branding executive while working and collaborating with some of the most recognizable actors, creatives, athletes, and brands. Since its inception, M88 has grown an impressive client list that includes a diverse — and swag- worthy mix of top-level talents such as Elba, Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan, Donald Glover, Riz Ahmed, Naomi Scott, Gemma Chan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Blitz “The Ambassador” Bazawule, Caleb McLaughlin, Eboni Freeman, Herizen F. Guardiola, Issa López, Kofi Siriboe, Luke James and many more.
Tamara Houston is the founder and managing partner of ICON MANN and CODE RED (Carpet). Houston oversees the entertainment brand strategy and career development of professional athletes, Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning actors. Writing is the wonderfully, cherished escape into her thoughts when the world outside gets too crowded.

The son of an educator and a diplomat, Fotemah Mba was born in Cameroon and became professionally known as the Director of A&R at the Red Republic. He went on to build a successful career in the United States by managing top-charting music collaborations with the industry’s top music executives and artists. Fotemah’s ear for music and love for making sure the elements of music are cohesive, has been the catalyst for the many of the relationships he has today.
Fotemah has now dedicated himself to Jump Africa, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create a better opportunity for education and a brighter future to every child in underprivileged areas in Africa.
